Behavior-Based EndPoint Security

Realizing that signature-based approaches to detecting malware and threats were becoming obsolete, the founders of SentinelOne launched the company based on “a kernel of an idea” — behavioral detection.

The old approaches could not handle the rapidly growing volume and range of new threats. As a result, the founders began instrumenting the behavior of running processes. These processes captured information which clearly displayed the differences between good applications and potentially malicious applications.

SentinelOne’s Vice President of Product Management, Raj Rajamani, and Principal Architect, Chris Bates, joined the Pentester Academy TV (PATV) team on Access Point to talk about behavior-based endpoint security.
